1 sunday sweater {re-up #4}

well, this sweater here is number 4 that i have re-up-ed,
and when i look at them all i realize that rome wasn't built in a day.

this was was by far the toughest, and to real people that really sew,
they would probably laugh that i even said so.
but i'm learning, so frankly scarlett, i'm proud of it.

and every time i make something, i am learning a new skill i can throw in my bag of tricks for later. it just so happens that some of them work out and equal cute things for me. #winning!

{thanks mom, for the confidence boost.
you're right, that little fabric flower at joanns
{that i nearly jumped ship for} would definitely not have been as cute!}

foto by cc. he's so cool.

sweater #4

this was actually a macy's sweater {thus why i was so nervous to cut it up},
but i bought it a few months ago and have since lost weight so it was too frumpy anyway.

note the frumpiness {or if you are from washington: "beggyness"}:
ok, really this was just to show you another cool foto cc took...

so i took this not-so-cute-anymore-but-i-really-loved-it-when-i-wore-it shirt
that reminds me of being pregnant,
{cause its stretchy and i wore it lots}

after i resized the sleeves and took it in a bit on the sides, i opened the seam at the cuff,
used tissue for stability, and closed it back up.  zig-zag for stretch-ability.
all of these are tricks my mom just taught me....  i even had to get a ball-point needle and i felt so intense.

used the same trick with the lace on the top...
though it's loads trickier to get even...
{just took off one button and resewed it on top.
i didn't even make another button hole, just cut it open so the button can go through.}

and done. phew. now i have one i can wear to church.

{and when i did, someone told me they just bought this sweater at khols! ha!}
